Help!!! Tech Will Ruin Us!

Very early Thursday morning a friend sent me an invitation via email. The e-card was very colourful and attractive -  creative. I was excited about the event he was inviting me to - it was his birthday party.
I'm not usually a party freak but this pal of mine is one person that I can pause anything (not literal!) to attend  his invite. I didn't really read what was on the card - I just took note of the Title (Birthday Bash - hahaa) and Date, finish!

On the day of the event, which was last week Saturday I went back to the card to get the other necessary details about the almighty bash - the time and venue. It was then I found out that it was a 'Get- Together Seminar'. Cool. My pal is a geek, so he loves organising seminars where he could pour out his wealth of knowledge on us until we drown! I looked forward to it.

Then, I checked for the venue. I expected something exquisite - it was his style. But you won't believe what I saw. I am still in shock. The venue was on Twitter! Yes, you are not mistaken - It's twitter I meant!

What!!!

My mouth was ajar for over 10 minutes. I checked again and again to make sure that what I saw was not a trick playing in my mind. It was there, boldly written; his characteristic twitter handle address which I once saw as very unique (but now annoying!).

The information read thus:
Time:      7pm - 10pm
Venue:    @....hot
Caption:  Join Live Changing Seminar on Crucial Issues

Now I think technology has gone too far! Outrageously Very Far!

First, you take our real friends away and give us virtual friends. Now you want to replace real places with virtual ones? No no. Soon, we'll start picnicking online. Damn!
