According to Wikipedia, Time is the indefinite continued progress of existence and events that occur in apparently irreversible succession from the past through the present to the future. Awesome definition. Did you notice the words  indefinite,   continued process and irreversible ? Yes, those are the key words for me. Time is indefinite. It rolls in continued process. And the disheartening fact is that it is irreversible. Apart from this wonderful definition of time, another school of thought has defined it in one word - life. I think this second definition summarises it well. Time is indeed your life. Time is the currency of earth. It is the exchange factor for life. Money is the currency for the payment of goods and services. But time is the currency for the payment of life. You die when you run out of time. It's as simple as that. Tomorrow is something - a place - we always look forward to. Many people spend their time - all of it - planning their tomorrow; which is also known as the future. Although you busy yourself with planning and worrying for a future that you desire t o have or destroy , the fact still remains that this future (you so pine for), is only a dream, a mist that we treat as probable, but also very uncertain.

He (the writer) was expressing, but I, the reader, was impressed. Express and impress, what's the difference? When I communicate candidly, I'm expressing. I try to stay close to the facts and choose my words objectively. Here, I try not to add emotional or subjective feelings to the message to which I want to communicate. But when I want to impress, this is another case entirely. Impressive words dwells largely on flattery and less on factual words.

Ever wondered why the words ' Listen ' and ' Silent ' are made up by the same letters? I have too and the reason is simple: to listen , you have to be silent . It's important to keep learning everyday, in fact, it's an attribute of life. The day you stop learning, you start dying. Now, one way to learn is to listen - pay attention; and you cannot do this by always having something to say! Sometimes, there's always the urge to air our opinion and thus we end up interrupting a what would have been a productive conversation.
